The Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist will support all aspects of AMS’s recruiting and hiring processes. Working closely with the Human Resources Manager and business leaders, this role will help identify staffing needs, source qualified candidates, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about attracting top talent to support our company’s growth.

Responsibilities:

    • Represent and promote the company’s culture, values, and philosophies throughout all recruiting efforts.
    • Draft and post accurate and engaging job descriptions.
    • Partner with the HR Manager to coordinate the offer process, including salary recommendations, start dates, and related details.
    • Source, screen, and evaluate candidates through a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, and networking.
    • Coordinate interview scheduling and assist with the preparation of interview materials.
    • Support hiring managers throughout the interview and selection process.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
    • Attend and participate in career fairs, recruiting sessions, and community events.
    • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for both union and non-union positions.
    • Assist with tracking and reporting recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness.
    • Contribute to ongoing improvement of recruiting processes and candidate experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of recruitment experience in a mid-sized organization.
  • Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and hiring teams effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
