Quality Assurance Specialist

Located within our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility and reporting directly to the PMT/AMS Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist will manage and maintain critical documentation within the PMT / AMS organization’s Quality Management System. You will ensure Standard Operating Procedures, manuals, and records remain compliant, traceable, and readily available for regulatory audits. 

Responsibilities:

    • Oversee controlled documents from creation, review, and approval to distribution to archiving.
    • Ensure all documentation aligns with industry regulations and company quality standards.
    • Maintain employee training compliance documentation, including continued training and new hire training.
    • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with the monitoring of quality performance indicators, generating reports on trends and present data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Generate and maintain audit schedules.
    • Manage and preserve the PMT Approved Suppliers List (ASL).
    • Review Procurement documentation for conformance to Quality Standards.
    • Interface with PMT Project Engineering in support of issuing PMT purchase orders to ensure applicable quality requirements are included within the PMT purchase orders.
    • Assist in the control / issuance of manufacturing documents to the fabrication shop in support of fabrication projects with strict quality requirements.
    • Perform compliance audits of the PMT, AMS, and outside vendors’ Quality Management Systems.
    • General administrative functions relative to the Quality Assurance System.
    • Maintaining highly structured filing system and database of all quality records.
    • Work within the requirements of the PMT 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program.

Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Must be a US Citizen
      • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or process improvement.
      • Background / experience in administrative assistance, office management, scheduling, or document management is a plus.
      • Background / experience related to the HVAC, contracting, manufacturing, construction, or engineering field is a plus.
      • Must be willing to occasionally travel out of state; Typically, trips are less than one week, up to two times per year; occasionally longer durations.
      • PMT Nuclear is a drug free workplace; Employees must pass random drug tests given by PMT and drug tests to gain access to nuclear power plants.

Compensation:

    • $50,000 – $65,000 annually
