Boiler Service Technician

As a Boiler Service Technician at AMS, you're the expertise behind every steam and hot water system our industrial clients depend on. Out of our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility, reporting to the General Manager, you'll troubleshoot commercial boilers, burner control systems, and all ancillary equipment, diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of problems with direct, hands-on knowledge of combustion, controls, and the equipment that keeps it all running.

You'll serve as a direct customer contact, identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems on-site to ensure satisfaction on every assigned project. The work is hands-on: performing combustion analysis and burner tuning, using specialty and hand tools alongside diagrams and engineering specifications, completing internal and external boiler and burner inspections, and evaluating boiler room and steam/hydronic systems to gather information and help solve problems. • Direct, hands-on experience and good working knowledge of steam/hot water boilers/burners, controls, combustion, and ancillary equipment.
• Represent the company and serve as a direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at the customer's location.
• Hands-on ability to perform combustion analysis, burner tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Use specialty tools along with a variety of hand tools, following diagrams or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Responsible for the completion of internal and external inspections of boilers, burners, and associated controls.
• Evaluate boiler room equipment and steam/hydronic systems, gather information, and help solve problems.
