AMS Industries, Inc. completed a comprehensive electrical installation for the Marklund Wasmond Center Expansion, encompassing a new 18,000 sqft building expansion and nearly 31,000 sqft of renovations to existing facilities. The scope of work included fire alarm systems, security, lighting, power, utility service, emergency generators, and nurse call systems. A key challenge throughout the project was that the site remained fully active, housing residents with severe and profound development disabilities requiring continuous access to medical care and life safety systems.
AMS navigated several critical obstacles to keep the project on track and residents safe. When generator delivery was delayed, AMS installed and maintained a rental generator to ensure uninterrupted power to life safety systems, even through extreme cold temperatures. Strict construction barriers, regular cleanups, and offsite material storage kept residents protected and ambulance access clear. AMS also consolidated three separate fire alarm systems into one unified system across both buildings, maintaining full coverage throughout construction. AMS was proud to deliver a safe, improved space for residents to live and learn.
