8 Hour Annual Refresher Hands-On Staging Area Setup and Scenario-Based Training

The attendees will actively engage in setting up a staging area hands-on. Moreover, team members attending the class, guided by the instructor, will collaboratively design and set up the staging area. As a result, this will better equip the response team to manage equipment efficiently during an actual emergency response situation.

To replicate conditions that suggest a spill or leak, we thoroughly plan various scenarios. As a result, teams will gather and arrange their emergency equipment within the newly designed staging area. Subsequently, they will assess the situation, determining the necessary emergency equipment for containing and mitigating the leak. Afterward, the teams will approach the spill site and participate in a simulated repair operation. We will conduct precise critiques to pinpoint any weaknesses or opportunities for enhancing future scenarios. Additionally, all participants will get the chance to practice wearing SCBA and fully encapsulating training suits.

At some point during the day, attendees must complete a 25-question examination. Upon successfully passing the examination, they will receive an 8-hour refresher certificate and an emergency responder identification wallet card for use when responding to actual spills.
