Systems & Tools

AMS Project Execution Systems & Tools are used across all divisions and business units to enable consistent project delivery. We are committed to our base system provider Naviswork and Autodesk. AMS currently has 22 trained experienced drafting designers that are using:

  • Auto CAD with Quickpen Pipe Designer (mech., piping, and plumbing)
  • Auto CAD with Quickpen Duct Designer
  • Auto CAD with plant 3D (Refrigeration)
  • Auto CAD with fabrication (mech., pipe, duct, and plumbing)
  • Revit with fabrication (mech., pipe, duct, and plumbing)
  • Revit with Sysque (mech., pipe, duct, and plumbing)
  • Navisworks (3D modeling software) with add-on of I-construct and Sherlock
  • Glue 360
  • Benchmark Sheet Metal

BIM and Data-Driven Project Delivery

AMS continues to enhance our abilities in managing the data produced in the design stages. This significantly improves our productivity and reduces cost. Our estimating teams and fabrication specialists utilize BIM-generated data to drive precision and efficiency. Through prefabrication systems and tools, we achieve higher quality control, accelerate project timelines, and minimize on-site labor demands and jobsite congestion.

Our integrated team in the BIM modeling and coordination process develops a large amount of data. We are advancing these capabilities toward 6D BIM, enabling a fully integrated, data-driven construction approach. With these systems, all trades are unified into a single, coordinated building execution plan. This approach will also enhance collaboration while delivering real-time cost estimation, project scheduling, and construction lifecycle insights. Beyond construction, our BIM tools and systems provide long-term value by delivering accurate, actionable data to owners and operators, ensuring efficient facility management, predictive maintenance, and optimized performance of building systems throughout their lifecycle.

AMS is currently using estimating software such as Quickpen and Accubid. These estimating software solutions integrate directly with BIM-generated data, reducing the need for manual takeoffs and improving accuracy across all project phases. From there we are able to use a Microsoft-based data tracking system which enables real-time monitoring of project costs, field productivity, and performance metrics. Our workflows also integrate with programs such as Primavera and Microsoft, allowing us to transform estimating data into accurate, data-driven construction schedules.

AMS is committed to advancing innovation through the adoption of modern construction systems and tools. By collaborating with owners, engineers, construction managers, and general contractors, we deliver cutting-edge digital construction solutions that position AMS as a preferred partner in the mechanical construction industry. Our forward-thinking approach ensures we remain at the forefront of construction technology, delivering smarter, more efficient, and highly coordinated project outcomes.
